We're only stealing 15% of the movie sales, not 44% says MPAA. Whoops!

An article from the Associated Press is reporting that the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) falsely reported that the amount of losses that came from college students was 44% when the number was really around 15%. The reason? Well, apparently you and I as college students are easy targets for the industry to pick on. There really is no reason to falsify the figures that much, we're already in so much debt we don't need file sharing charges breathing down the back of our necks!

Rude Awakening # 457 : Nobody really cares what your G.P.A. was.

I wish a lot of people saw this image, not only is it very (disturbingly so) true, but it does mean a lot. Learning is to enhance the mind (for the post part) and to understand things you previously didn't know. While this isn't a flag to go fail out of college, nobody really cares what your G.P.A. was. Check more of these post cards out at the awesome Post secret.

Relax! Its finals week!

I know I shouldn't be apologizing for the lack of posts, but it is finals week and work has been catching up on me with way too much to study for. In return for your waiting and patience, I'm presenting you with ten ways that you can relax for finals week.

It isn't easy in college if you have a hard major so here are five conventional ways to relax for finals week:

1.Go exercise - Go out for a quick run or lift some weights at the gym. If you have a professor that you don't particularly like, go take it out on a punching bag. A small workout not only makes you feel great, it relieves stress like nobody's business!

2.Watch a movie - With a group of friends or just by yourself, nothing calms the nerves like a funny movie (Try Animal House with John Belushi for a really good time).

3.Treat yourself - For guys, go out and buy a video game or something you've been wanting for a while. Its finals, use it as a goal or a motivator for the rest of the time at school. For girls, go shopping, nothing can be better than maxing out your credit card on a nice pair of shoes.

4.Get a massage - If you have a girlfriend or boyfriend, trade massages and keep your muscles feeling extra loose. If you guys are feeling extra sensual, pull out the candles or the aromatherapy stuff.

5.Sleep Early - Pick a nice night and hit the hay early. Not only will your partying brain have a lot of extra rest, chances are you won't fall asleep during your exam this semester!

Water Pong Cups to destress for exam week
Taking this semester a little lighter? Here are five very unconventional ways to relieve your finals-week stress:

1.Go skydiving - This should be self explanatory. Seriously, if you can go skydiving, you really can do anything, even finals.

2.Shoot some cups - Water pong provides people with useful way to remove the stress out of a group of people. Sink a ball into a cup and you'll have your whole team cheering!

3.Get high - By this I mean hike to the top of a mountain or some other immense physical activity. Nothing illegal of course. But if you do, make sure its the best bang for your buck!

4.Party - Going to a party and meeting some new people might score you a date and keep your mind off the week ahead. Who knows, you might talk to that cutie that sits in the front of class! Also, a glass or two sure makes you forget about finals.

5.Sex! - Sex is the greatest reliever and is the easiest way to "release" your stress. Truly, nothing beats this to relieve stress.
